Mr. Oberempt is licensed in Connecticut and New Jersey and is of counsel to the firm of Bailey, Moore, Glazer, Schaefer & Proto, LLP. He has more than 48 years of experience in providing accounting and business advisory services to manufacturers, wholesalers, scrap metal manufacturers, medical and legal practices, real estate contractors, service organizations, trusts and estates, and individuals.
Mr. Oberempt provides a variety of business services to his clients including operational reviews, strategic business planning and budgeting, reviews of organizational structure, due diligence audits, and business succession planning. He has implemented audit procedures, analysis and programs designed for the specific needs of his
clients.
He has been involved in many large business acquisitions and dispositions for corporations,
partnerships, limited liability companies, and individuals. He combines the financial, business and
tax needs of his clients in the structuring of buy-sell agreements, corporate divisions, and other
business arrangements. He is also active in the exploration of financing alternatives for his
clients and has assisted in the negotiation of financing terms.
Gordon Oberempt has provided expert testimony and litigation support services covering a variety
of legal matters, including business valuations for divorce actions, construction disputes
and business divisions. His combination of technical skill and practical business knowledge makes
him an effective advocate for his clients.
Mr. Oberempt received his Bachelors of Science Degree in Accounting from Quinnipiac
University. He is a member of the Connecticut Society of Certified Public Accountants, the American
Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Tax Section of the American Institute. He has served
as President of the Greater New Haven Jaycees, and also has participated with The Yale Pops Concerts, The Leukemia Society of Central Connecticut, Connecticut Special Olympics, and many other Civic Organizations. He has lectured to various professional groups including the Connecticut Association of Public Accountants.
